Are you are interested in incorporating social media--like Facebook--in your classroom? Many teachers are intrigued by social media, but worried about the potential legal problems with opening this "can of worms." Join Namita Brown, legal expert in issues around digital media and technology in schools, to discuss the legal aspects of using social media in the classroom. Namita Brown is a partner at Fagen, Friedman, and Fulfrost, and is co-chair of the firm's eMatters practice group.

To be able to fully interact in our webinar, take a few moments to set up your computer:

•  Make sure your computer meets the following requirements.

•  Audio setup: Do you want to be able to use your mic?

Yes: The ideal set up is either 1) Headphones with a built in mic or  2) a headset with headphones and a mic. (If you use computer speakers and talk while your speakers are on, it will interfere with your mic and the audience will get severe audio feedback including squeeling and screetching.)

No: All you need are computer speakers or headphones. You can still ask questions with the chat function.

•  Review the steps outlined on the Blackboard Collaborate Support page.

The webinar will open 10 minutes early and start on time. If you have questions, please contact

us at schools@commonsense.org.
