LEED EB Certification
It is a common misconception that LEED EB can be an arduous and expensive endeavor. However, with a bit of creativity and a good strategy, that is not always the case. In this session we will de-mystify this school of thought and come away with actionable items to get going in the right direction towards a sustainable building efficiently, strategically, and cost effectively. We will discuss various tips to achieve LEED EB at a reasonable cost, as well as similar methods to maintain the integrity of the building once it has achieved certification without additional resources. Furthermore, we will ensure facility managers understand what is required to maintain the integrity of the certification and life at the building “after the plaque.” Finally, we will discuss the USGBC’s requirements around LEED data/recordkeeping and how to properly position your building for recertification (required every 5 years).
