This program content is up to date with the recent changes of the new Export Control Reforms (ECR).

Export Control Reform changes can be a real benefit to your company's business once you understand how to adapt and maximize the benefit of list shifts from USML to CCL as well as how to apply the new definition of "Specially Designed" in the EAR to benefit your company.

This program provides both novice and experienced export compliance professionals with an overview of the US Export Control Reform.  Learn what the rule changes are, who -- and what items or technology -- they impact, and what you need to do now to comply.

You will learn:

October 24, 2014

This program will provide you with a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities associated with Export Compliance Managers: Empowered Official (EO) and Export Compliance Officers (ECO).  These positions hold authority for policy and management within your company or organization. Along with the title, comes the responsibility to sign license application or other approval requests and implementation of provisions and requirements of export control regulations.  The role of the EO or ECO has the independent authority to inquire into any aspect of an export transaction; verify legality; and to refuse to proceed without adverse recourse.  You will have a greater understanding of the mandatory requirements of these roles at the conclusion of this workshop.

You will learn:

>  Understand the Empowered Official's Role and Key Responsibilities under ITAR
