Oregon and Washington are super successul wine regions for very different reasons. Both states offer us wines of great quality and value. What makes Oregon the land for Pinot? Why does Washington have such tremendous potential for growth? What distinguishes the wines of the Pacific Northwest from those of California - the powerhouse wine producer to the south?

Explore these questions and more in our 2 hour class - Explore the Wines of Oregon and Washington. You will learn about the people, climates, grape varieties and strategies that put Oregon and Washington wines on our wine shop shelves.

In the process, you will learn basic wine tasting skills and how to describe the different personalities of these wines. Appetizers and an assortment of cheeses will be served during class to introduce some of the fundamentals of pairing wine and food.
