You are invited to join us for a special event; an introduction to the practice of HATHA YOGA (the most ancient form of yoga) and a discovery of what it is, how it came about and what makes it such a powerful form of wellbeing practice.
Yoga has become increasingly popular over the last years. From initially belonging only to the closed circles of Indian monk community to the whole world now practicing yoga in a wide variety of ways, styles and interpretations to experience the same benefits - Feeling of peace, energy and all around physical and mental wellbeing.
Who can attend
Whether you have never tried yoga before and would like to discover it, or you are an experienced practitioner and would like to practice and learn from others. Can be adapted to all levels from beginner to intermediate, so all levels are welcome at all classes.
What to bring
Each person should bring their own mat. There will be some mats available for sale at each class.
What to wear
You are welcome to wear anything you feel comfortable in, but generally it is advised to wear cotton clothes that don't restrict your movement in any way. Yoga is practiced barefoot with no socks on but to ensure your comfort during the relaxation part or the class, you can bring a pair of socks and a jumper.
As the halls are not part of dedicated yoga centres, there are no dedicated changing facilities as such, so if you could come as ready as possible in your yoga clothes it would be great, however, due to a shape of the room in 35 Rue Saint Roch, there will be an opportunity to turn a part of a room into a space to get changed for yogis and yoginis separately. :) In the facility in the 15e, you will be able to use toilets to get changed in.
If English is not your first language, the Yoga coach also speaks French and Russian so additional explanations will be possible in those languages as well.
"My home school and primary influence of my teachers during gaining my qualification is Hatha Sivananda yoga styles.
