Event Details

This one-day seminar focuses on branding, specialization, other events, add-on sales, apprenticeships, hiring and firing, media relations, website enhancement, current software and technological advances, and ethical challenges that are encountered in an established, growing business.

Attendees will be able to:   

      Update and refresh a business plan.

      Discuss business growth and development opportunities.

      Select current event management tools and technology.

      Describe basic human resources management concepts.

      Review and revise a job description.

      Respond to customer complaints and ethical issues.

This seminar earns 2 points for education and professional development. To enable full participation for all attendees, seminar is limited to 25 participants.

Location - Directions

Tremont Grand  is connected to the Tremont Plaza Hotel, so the hotel maintains a differenct address/entrance than the Conference/Event Center.  Staff can direct you to our meeting room once you arrive.

From Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI): Exit onto I-95, continue to Exit 4 Baltimore. Follow the I-395 Exit heading downtown, and stay in the lane for the Inner Harbor. Bear right toward onto Conway Street. At the second traffic light, turn left onto Charles Street. At the 7th traffic light, turn right onto Saratoga Street, and travel one block to St. Paul Place. Turn right. The Tremont Plaza is on the corner of Saratoga and St. Paul Place. End at 225 Charles Street Baltimore, MD 21225-2846, US.

From the North on I-83: Begin west on Baltimore Beltway (I-695) toward Towson. Take Exit 23 heading south on Jones Falls Expressway (I-83). Take the St. Paul Street Exit, one way, heading south. Bear right onto MD-2 South ramp. Bear right at St. Paul Street Continue on St. Paul Place. Turn right at East Lexington Street. Turn right at North Charles St. End at 225 Charles Street Baltimore, MD 21225-2846, US.

From the North or South on I-95: From Washington or the Fort McHenry Tunnel, take the I-395 Exit, heading downtown, and stay in the lane for the Inner Harbor. Bear right toward the Inner Harbor onto Conway Street. At the second traffic light, turn left onto Charles Street. If you are attending the ABC seminar at The Tremont Grand events venue or visiting the Tremont Plaza for non-overnight stay, the following parking options are available:

  • Valet parking for a special event may be available at the front entrance of the Tremont Grand at 225 North Charles Street. Please inquire in advance with your host or meeting planner about the availability and pricing of this service.
  • Valet parking is available at the front entrance of the Tremont Plaza Hotel at 222 St. Paul Place. The maximum daily valet parking rate is $20 for vehicles that depart within the same day. If you are attending an event at the Tremont Grand, there is a connector from the Tremont Plaza to the Tremont Grand, available via the 5th floor of the hotel.
  • Self parking is available in a city-owned garage adjacent to the hotel, located at 210 St. Paul Place. This automated 13-story garage is managed by PMS Parking in cooperation with the Baltimore Parking Authority. The weekday maximum daily parking rate is $13, and on weekends the maximum rate is $10 per day. .If you are attending an event at the Tremont Grand, exit the parking garage from the west side elevator to reach the Tremont Grand.

 

 

Payment and Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations more than 10 days before seminar may be transferred to another ABC seminar or refunded less a $25 administrative fee.  Cancellations/no-shows less than 10 days before the seminar cannot be refunded. If paying by check, check must be postmarked by early registration cutoff to be received prior to the seminar.  No-shows will be invoiced.
