Exhibitor Registration for The Science of Reading - TCB's spring conference
Friday, February 28, 2014 at 5:00 PM - Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 4:30 PM (PST)
We invite you to join us at our annual conference, The Science of Reading. This is our 35th year of great literacy conferences in the Inland Empire. As in past years, we are limiting our exhibitor space so that each exhibitor receives the greatest amount of exposure to participants. We will be continuing our special “introduction to exhibitors” . At the conference introduction on Saturday morning, we invite each exibitor to talk to the whole group for about 3-5 minutes. The purpose is to give YOU opportunity to explain what you have to offer and excite the participants about visiting your booth during the breaks!!
Our exhibit hall opens during breakfast on Saturday morning and we scheduled another hour-long exhibit time on Saturday during lunch, as well as 20-minute breaks during the morning and afternoon session. Each of the exhibitors’ tables (size 6’ x30”) will have a table skirt and chair. The exhibit fee includes Saturday meals (breakfast and lunch) and snacks for one person. The cost is $300 for the first person and $65 for each additional person. Our special non-profits fee is $200 for the first person, and $65 for additional.
Our target population includes parents, early childhood caregivers and teachers (public or private school). Our participants greatly appreciate exploring and purchasing educationally related materials. Schools and clinics often rely on our recommendations in selecting materials and the individual teachers are seeking materials to use with students, to facilitate their own teaching, and to share with parents. Parents seek materials to use at home with their own children.
We encourage you to sign up early to ensure your spot! Tables are assigned in the order we receive the requests. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions (email@example.com).
The overall focus will be on exploring the science of reading and we are featuring Drs. Sally and Bennett Shaywitz on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon will feature a session on the connection between literacy and language. The Friday evening session is all on dyslexia. We aim to enable educators and parents to better understand the relevant issues related to learning and develop take-home strategies that will be immediately useful to them in dealing with their students. We hope that the exhibits also strive toward this same goal.
