The bustling gateway to America, New York, has always been a city of dramatic excitement, big dreams and constant changes. Legendary photo journalist Thomas Hoepker has captured the city's complex spirit in all its moods, on and off, from 1960 until today. Born in Munich,Germany, Hoepker has lived and worked in New York since 1976. He lives and works in Manhattan and in Southampton, Long Island. Hoepker is a member of the prestigious photo cooperative, Magnum, and has travelled the world as a photo-journalist and film maker for publication like Stern and Geo.
