Photographing Gardens, 1851 TO 1987:
Moët Hennessy Displays Its Firm Cultural Commitment

Presentation:
In its continuing commitment over the years to promote culture and the arts, Moët Hennessy, the wine and spirits group of LVMH, has partnered with the French Ministry of Culture and Communication (General Direction of Heritage) to present “Rendez-vous in the Gardens”. This traveling exhibit was recently displayed simultaneously at the Orangerie of the Trianon residence in Epernay and in the park of the Château de Bagnolet in Cognac. On its way to the Embassy of France in Berlin, Rendez-vous in the Gardens will have its U.S. première at La Maison Française, during a vernissage on Wednesday, October 3 at 7 p.m.

This exhibition will feature Jacques Henri Lartigue, Willy Ronis, Eugène Atget, André Kertész, some of the mythical photographers who signed the photographs of gardens, on exhibit earlier this year in the MHCS Houses of Champagne Moët & Chandon et Jas Hennessy & Co.

A selection of about fifty photographs from the collections of the Médiatheque de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine (architecture and heritage media center), illustrates the theme of this new exhibition; which is presented in seven distinct modules:

1) Gardens in the Nineteenth Century

4) Paris and New York : Back and Forth
