Founder and President Richard L. Fahn is a distinguished veteran of the insurance business. Before opening the doors to Excell Benefit Group in 2005, Mr. Fahn earned his qualifications as a successful Account Executive for both Prudential Healthcare and HealthNet in Southern California, as well as with Aetna in Chicago. Excell Benefit Group is a full service, independent insurance agency specializing in working with small and mid-sized businesses through the complexities of benefits.
Mr. Fahn earned his Chartered Benefit Consultant (CBC) status, validation of his expertise in the field of consumer-driven health plans. In addition to being a proud member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), Richard is the recipient of the NAHU Leading Producers Round Table Award and qualified for the association’s President’s Council Award.
Maria Matarelli is a Certified Professional Coach, business consultant, and a contributing author in the Business Leaders Book Series: Lessons Learned from the Recession.
Maria consults Fortune 100 companies on project methodologies, process improvements and organizational change. Maria travels to speak at national and international conferences with recent locations including Chicago, New York, Hawaii, Vancouver, Sweden, Istanbul, and Morocco.
Consultant turned entrepreneur, Maria has achieved 10 industry certifications and has held leadership positions to include VP of Operations and President of several not for profit professional development organizations. Maria is a Certified SDI Facilitator and speaks to organizations and leadership teams on how to enhance motivation, communication, and reduce conflict.
Franklin Drob specializes in Emotional Intelligence (EQI) curriculum development, management team training and enjoys helping and supporting people to understand ways to increase their effectiveness. His work and research in Emotional Intelligence has been featured in Corporate Wellness Magazine, Illinois Association of Curriculum Development and The American Business Person.
Over the course of the last seven years, Franklin has provided wellness programs for companies to reduce stress and increase performance. Franklin is also a highly regarded yoga instructor and businessman. His mission is to be a source of knowledge that leads to direct impact solutions for both organizations and individuals from Chicago to all over the world.
