MEET THE PRESENTERS:
Mary Salinas Durón
Mary Salinas Durón is a Senior Community Affairs Specialist with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) Community Affairs Program. Her responsibilities include promoting the FDIC initiatives which are focused on financial education, community development, asset-building programs and small business. She fosters collaborative efforts amongst financial institutions, community-based organizations, municipal entities, and underserved communities.
Ms. Durón joined the FDIC’s San Francisco Region in early 2010, and she is based in Los Angeles. Her extensive financial services experience includes senior roles as Community Development Manager, National Multicultural Sales Manager, CRA Officer, Director of Fair Lending, Urban and Community Affairs Manager and Hispanic Marketing Manager at the following institutions: U.S. Bank, Countrywide, Sumitomo Bank, Los Angles Community Development Bank and First Interstate Bank of California.
Greg Bell began his career with the FDIC in 1991 as an assistant examiner in the West Los Angeles Field Office and currently holds the title of Senior Risk Examiner. During his more than 22 years with the FDIC, he participated in numerous large and complex financial institution examinations including several banks with SBA loan portfolios Mr. Bell graduated from the USC School of Business in 1991 and Pacific Coast Banker’s School with honors in 2005.
Yoon Nam has been with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as a Loan Review Specialist in the Los Angeles West field office since 2009. While with the FDIC, he has frequently served as the Asset Manager of safety and soundness examinations for community banks ranging in size from $100 million to $5 billion. Prior to joining the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Mr. Nam was the Deputy SBA Manager for Saehan Bank. There, he helped build the bank’s SBA loan portfolio to become a one of the district’s top PLP lenders.
