Intervention -- “applying solutions to problems”- has changed greatly over the last several decades. New models have been developed and are being practiced. New attitudes about addictions, behavioral health and recovery incorporate the collaborative support of family and community resources more than ever before.
The guilt, shame and stigma of the disease are being lifted, and the process of intervention today can be an act of love that honors individuals and respects their dignity.
Dr. Louise Stanger and Burr Cook will offer a presentation about the practice of Interventions, how it has evolved to what it is today, and what the future may hold for the practice and business of interventions in the future.
