'Ever to Excel' Film Screening Chicago

To launch the Chicago Alumni Club and in celebration of the University of St Andrews 600th Anniversary please join alumni, parents and friends for a toast to the University at the film screening of Ever to Excel. This documentary is an enthralling cinematic account of the foundation and development of the University of St Andrews. It celebrates learning, discoveries, old traditions and new beginnings, interwoven with stories charting the exciting progress of St Andrews over its 600-year history.
Starring the incomparable Sir Sean Connery and directed by the award winning film maker Murray Grigor OBE, Ever to Excel includes appearances by Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond, novelist Fay Weldon, poet Jay Parini, psychiatrist Kay Redfield Jamison, and the writer Alastair Reid.
This film screening will take place at The Lake Street Screening Room as posted. Afterwards, a small reception will take place across the street at the Elephant and Castle bar (185 N. Wabash, Chicago, 60601).
While there is no set admission price, guests are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $40. THis contribution will be in support of the Sean Connery Scholarship and cost of the event.
As the first major alumni event in Chicago, it is hoped that we can get in touch with as many alumni in the area as possible. If you know alumni, parents and friends that would be interested please send along the information.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Car- There is a self-park parking garage located next to The Lake Street Screening Room. The address of the parking garage is 60 E. Lake Street, Chicago, Il 60601.
Public Transportation- The L stop 'State/Lake' is located two block west of the building. This stop is accessible via the Brown, Green, Purple, Pink, and Orange Lines
