About our speakers

Zach West

Zach West, Digital Manager, Walgreens

Zach West is a Social Media Strategist at Deerfield, IL-based Walgreens. Working within the company’s digital marketing team, he is responsible for social media strategy and planning, as well as integrating social media into Walgreens’ many consumer-facing initiatives. Prior to his current role, West joined Walgreens as an Email Programs Analyst and most recently worked with the Promotional Planning team managing Walgreens Photo’s online marketing. West has a B.S. in Economics from Purdue University. In November 2012, he was named 2012 People to Watch by Shopper Marketing Magazine.

 

Nihal Advani

Nihal Advani, Founder & CEO, Georama

Nihal Advani is an experienced digital marketer, globetrotter, and Founder & CEO of Georama. Originally from India, he spent his teenage years as an internationally ranked tennis player before moving to the United States to play D1 college tennis. While at Stony Brook University in New York, he interned at Google. After graduating at the top of his class with a BS in Marketing, he joined Microsoft where he spent five years in various marketing and data roles across Search (Bing) and Display, including as Program Manager for the Microsoft Media Network.

Since launching in July 2012 Georama has seen great progress, and earlier this year was selected by Crain’s for the Best Use of Facebook in Chicago.
