Just as an artist brings together vibrant colors to create an exquisite painting, garden enthusiasts, landscape designers, arts supporters and Chicago’s A-list celebrities will come together for “Evening in Bloom” – an exclusive preview event of the Chicago Flower & Garden Show on Friday, March 8. The event is from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Festival Hall at Chicago’s Navy Pier. The theme of the 2013 Chicago Flower & Garden Show is “The Art of Gardening.”

Chicago Gateway Green
Chicago Gateway Green was founded in 1986 on the belief that beauty and sustainability go hand in hand. Since then, Chicago Gateway Green and its partners have helped to improve both the local environment and the quality of life for millions of Chicagoland residents and visitors.
A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Chicago Gateway Green improves Chicago’s communities through three key programs: the Expressway Partnership, transforming city roadways into landscaped parkways; the International Sculpture Program, beautifying gateways through the installation of public, international art on expressways; and the Tree Partnership Program, a large-scale tree planting initiative that transforms vacant land into tree-filled green spaces.
The Peterson Garden Project
The Peterson Garden Project is a volunteer organization committed to teaching people to grow their own food. They are based in Chicago, where they build community vegetable gardens and stronger communities, too.
Special Olympics Chicago
Through sports, Special Olympics Chicago is building communities of acceptance and inclusion for all people. Our mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Kendall College Charitable Trust
The Kendall College Charitable Trust is dedicated to providing financial support for students of need enrolled full time in the culinary, hospitality, business and education programs at Kendall College.
Chicago Police Memorial Foundation
The Foundtion Provides support and assistance to the families of Chicago Police Officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty. The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation is the not-for-profit organization dedicated to honoring the lives of our fallen heroes.
