Hayes' son interviews former colleagues, including Tom Wolfe, Gay Talese, Nora Ephron, Peter Bogdanovich and Gore Vidal, to learn how his father’s editorial genius defined a turbulent culture, providing a vivid a rebirth of American aesthetics.
