Event Details

Entrepreneur's ClubGetting Bitten by the Entrepreneurial Bug with Dan Widmaier, UCSF PhD 2010, CEO Refactored Materials.  When Dan was a PhD student in the Chemistry and Chemical Biology Graduate Program, he took the core entrepreneurship course Idea to IPO and became inspired to pursue commercializing a technology he had been working on in the lab.  It took him a couple of more years and a second run through Idea to IPO to start the company, which now has 16 people, raised a series A financing and is 18 months from product launch. Come hear Dan’s story about his transition from PhD program to entrepreneur, and enjoy pizza and networking.
