Athena Leadership Labs for Barnard Students
Entrepreneurial spirit is something that can and does flourish at any time and for many reasons. If successful startup founders of the last 20 years are any indication, then the most critical skill you’ll need to start a venture is your ability to build lasting professional relationships by crafting and telling stories that inspire people to action.
Do you think you need an MBA to start a business or NGO? Or that you have to code proficiently or have a few years of corporate experience under your belt first? Do you need years of expertise to attract resources to your cause or passion? This workshop shows none of the above has to be true to pitch a business, idea, or cause successfully. Pluck, entrepreneurial spirit, and the art of storytelling may be the magic formula—for budding entrepreneurs and for anyone interested in conveying their passion to an audience. Beyond that, who doesn't love the opportunity to practice incorporating comedy and performance to hold the attention of an audience?
This workshop will cover:
