Join us March 27 for "Evolution of an Architecture: Story of a Data Management Platform" with Adobe Systems Director of Engineering Dave Weinstein. "Story of a DMP" begins in 2008 with a 10-person startup called Demdex, 1 customer, and a couple million visitor profiles. Dave will the story of how they grew to serving many of the world's biggest publishers and advertisers and were ultimately acquired by Adobe Systems.
Today, Adobe AudienceManager (nee Demdex) stores over 6.5 Billion visitor profiles and serves many billions of requests per day. Along the way, they've gone through a number of iterations in their architecture and added a host of new technologies like Hadoop, Hbase, Cassandra, SOLR, Netezza and Tableau to handle the scale. Come hear the story of how they did it: the painful lessons learned, the architectures re-architected and the systems scaled to handle hockey-sticking growth.
We'll have pizzas and beer at 6:30pm, and the program will begin at 7pm.
