Energy Studies Training

Wednesday, October 12, 2016

Learn how energy studies can maximize your building's energy efficiency.

Do you feel like you could save energy at your facility but don’t know where to start?
APS and the Arizona Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) are offering a half-day training on energy studies in October as part of our Energy Efficiency Technical Training series. We invite facility managers, maintenance staff, plant engineers, consultants and building owners to join us as we discuss how to conduct an energy audit, and ways to leverage ENERGY STAR® benchmarking tools to uncover savings and maximize a facility’s energy efficiency.

Attendees will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to:

  • Develop a baseline energy profile for their facility
  • Calculate the end-use breakdown of energy
  • Assemble a quality energy study report
  • Evaluate energy conservation measures, including:
    - Lighting retrofits
    - Motor upgrades
    - Variable frequency drives

In addition, the instructor will give a live demonstration of benchmarking using the ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager and explain the rebates offered by the APS Solutions for Business program for energy studies.
