Improv: Hello There!
What is improvisational comedy? That is why you're here, I'm guessing. Well let's discover some of the basic tenets of this wildly enjoyable art form together. This session will introduce basic improv games and concepts like saying "Yes, And...," "Pass the Clap," and "3 Things." These exercises are incredibly useful for beginning improvisers to get comfortable on stage, in a scene, or in the (in)famous semi-circle. They are also good as refreshers for intermediate improvisors to get back to basics.
Then, we will perform some Three-Line Scenes to get everyone in the spirit of establishing "who, where, why" in three short lines. As improv is inherently a team game, we will work together to help build a story, one ridiculous word at a time.
Depending on the make-up and collective experience of the class, we may have time to perform a short "montage."

Endgames improv is about comedy, community, and putting live performances in front of San Francisco. We believe a few things. First, everyone deserves good comedy. Shows shouldn't cost twenty dollars, which is why all our shows cost ten dollars or less. Most of them are five. A lot of them are FREE. Second, we believe in our community of students, performers, and teachers. This is our community, and it can be YOUR community, too. Come be a part of what we do.
