The End –of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) provides nurses with essential training in end-of-life/palliative care and provides participants with the knowledge and resources to share with other nursing colleagues.
The ELNEC Critical Care Train-the-Trainer program has been developed to assist nurses who work in a variety of clinical settings, as well as nursing faculty who teach in Schools of Nursing. Nurses, who spend more time at the bedside than any other healthcare provider, need current, evidence-based education in order to meet the unique needs of patients and their families who are in acute care, critical care, home care, palliative care, hospices, universities and many other settings. The ELNEC curriculum has been developed to assist nurses as they provide education to other staff members as well as bedside care to those in clinical and university settings.
