EP21 helps teens prepare for life after high school. If you want a scholarship or help getting into college, but don't have the time or experience to make it happen, you have come to the right place! EmPowerment 21, a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), has established a program that can help you access internship opportunities and get valuable work and volunteer experience with local businesses & nonprofits, while learning how to get accepted into college and earn scholarships. All San teens and parents are welcomed to attend! Counselors and teachers drive from Houston, Dallas, Galveston and even furthe to attend our workshops!
This will be our 8th of nine monthly workshops this year (we do these EVERY 2nd Saturday from Sep through May).
The Workshop in April will be with College Professors from every level. The audience will play a huge role in this workshop as they participate by asking questions!
We will search for scholarships, pass on tips, etc. We will be giving away a laptop at this workshop and a chance to win a refurbished MacBook Pro for our last workshop! To date, we have given out 80 ipads/computers and we've even made it rain cash on the audience. Come join us as we change America, one teen at a time!
Bring the whole family!!!
When & Where
I founded the Scholarship Leadership Institute (www.majorbetz.com) based on my proprietary college "Scholarship Success System." At SLI we will select 100 teens to be a part of our Fall 2016 class of future scholarship recipients! Review our website at www.MajorBetz.com to see if your teen is a good candidate to be a part of our 2016-2017 "Teen Master Class Team".
I also run a nonprofit called EmPowerment 21 (aka EP21). I've been the Executive Director for over 11 years and conducted monthly workshops for teens where we helped them get into and pay for college.
Lastly, I wrote my first book. The title is "What Would You Do, If You Knew You Couldn't Fail? It's about my thoughts on how teens can get into and pay for college by doing the things I recommend. With 11 years of experience, I've helped many teens get into and pay for college.
I currently work as a GS-14 for the Air Force. I retired from the US Air Force after 21 years as a Major.
