Rooted in the principles of neuroscience, the focus of this workshop is to provide a step by step process on how to implement a six stage performance management program based on engaging in an ongoing coaching-based relationship with employees. You will form partnerships with employees by investing in future success, rather than being mired in past shortcomings. If the steps of the program are followed, there should never be any surprises as transparency will be the norm and a genuine two-way relationship will be in place. This is a hands- on workshop where you will learn how to:
- Hire and Interview for leadership ability
- Set expectations and performance standards and complete position agreements for key positions in your business
- Conduct quarterly coaching conversations
- Conduct an annual performance review that is “feed forward” focused vs. feedback focused
- Create a safe environment when terminating an employee
The objective is to begin looking at employees and future employees as part of the single entity that is the business. You are certainly hiring to fill a position that has very specific requirements, but the mistake comes from not exploring what else your employee or candidate can do for the system. Many businesses stagnate because they operate in a way this is too linear, not allowing for or encouraging creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
