7 p.m. PANEL DISCUSSION ON THE LIFE AND WORK OF EMIL MILAN

Rediscover midcentury master craftsman Emil Milan (1922-1985) whose "functional sculptures" in wood combined sleek modern designs and organic shapes.  From 1962 on, Emil lived and worked in Thompson, PA, selling works through retail outlets in the Northeast and teaching  woodworking classes for Penn State Ag Extension.

Drop by the exhibit opening reception in the Henry Gallery between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m, then hear a panel of three experts on Milan discuss the life and work of this lovable eccentric, innovative woodworker, and gifted artist and designer.
