Emerging Trends in Dialysis Care

This educational activity is designed to improve knowledge,competence and performance of US Nephrologists, Dialysis Care Providers (Administrators, Physician Assistants (PA’s), Nurse Practitioners (NP’s) Registered Nurses (RN’s), Patient Care Technician’s (PCT’s), and Machine Care Technicians (MCT’s) in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of the dialysis patient. Renal fellows and residents are also encouraged to attend this symposium.
Participants of this activity should be able to:
Identify and apply new strategies to caring for dialysis patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and/or co-morbidities.
Discuss new regulatory requirements and fiscal requirements from CMS and NYS.
Compare and assess available centers and home dialysis therapy as described by recent studies.
