It can happen…it will happen. Picture a 7.2 magnitude earthquake at the San Andreas Fault. Homes in Palo Alto are collapsing and fires are raging in many neighborhoods. You have minutes to escape. Do you know what to do? Where to go? What to take? How about your pets? Participate in this simulated disaster, feel the experience.
Participate in this simulated disaster, feel the experience. All ESV teams will have an opportunity to exercise their part. BPCs, CERTs, NPCs and HAMs. Emphasis at this drill will focus on disaster search and rescue, includes, disaster medical which consists of triage, secondary assessment and treatment, test our established communication links and learn something new.
JOIN US AT QUAKEVILLE - CUBBERLEY COMMUNITY CENTER, 4000 MIDDLEFIELD, FROM 2PM.
WHAT TO BRING: Your Personal Protective Equipment; vest, hardhat, googles, gloves, flashlight, sturdy closed toe shoes, your backpack. Wear old clothes (that you don't care about getting dirty) with long sleeves and long pants for protection. Dress in layers and plan for "possible" harsh weather conditions. Check-in at 1:30 PM. Join us for dinner served by the American Red Cross.
