Event Details

Louisiana VOAD in partnership with The Salvation Army is hosting a training for Emergency Operations Center Liaison. This course prepares participants to serve as a Liaison Officer with the Liaison function of the Incident Command System.  Participants will learn how to interact with government and voluntary partners and examine the role of an Emergency Operations Center during a disaster.

Training will be provided by William H. Feist III, Divisional Liaison for the Alabama-Louisiana-Mississippi Division of The Salvation Army.

Participants are limted to 20. This training is intended for those individuals who are likely to serve in the State or local EOC during times of disaster. Once the registration fills, a waitlist will go into place and will alert you to openings in order of registration. This will allow us to also see is there is a potential need for additional trainings on this topic in the future.

Cost:  Free to current Louisiana VOAD or Regional VOAD members or partners.

Lunch:  Will be provided.

Parking:  Available on site
