Eddy SM Lee, Ph.D is a principal at Fenox Venture Capital where he leads the deal sourcing, due diligence and execution of investment into early-stage startups in US, Singapore and Indonesia markets. Additionally, he supervises the consulting service for the product development, business development, strategic alliance and operations of portfolio companies. Other functional roles include marketing, fundraising, and representing the firm as an invited speaker or panelist.
At Stanford University, Eddy is a consulting professor at the School of Medicine, where he guides the development and commercialization of projects in biotechnology. At InnoSpring, an incubator that bridges US and China startups, he is a mentor specializing in medical technology and IT advisory.
With prior experience spanning the engineering and military fields, he has filled leadership, entrepreneurship and project management roles. During his doctoral dissertation, he devised magnetic resonance imaging methodology for improving the efficacy of cellular therapy. While at Marvell and Lucent, he managed projects in integrated circuit design.
Eddy completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University, and holds a Ph.D in Bioengineering and a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering. He has been an invited speaker at international conferences and has authored scientific papers, technical articles and book chapters.
Avi Pasheeva is an associate at Voivoda Ventures, an early stage fund that focuses on investments in software companies in the B2B space. Primarily engaged with startups in the cloud, enterprise, SaaS, and mobile space, Avi's responsibilities range from sourcing of deal flow and conducting due diligence, to investor relations and startup coaching. She has been a frequent speaker, mentor and judge at startup competitions.
Avi holds two B.S. degrees - one in Business Administration and one in Journalism and Mass Communications.
Ajit Deshpande is a senior associate for Opus Capital, where he sources and evaluates investment opportunities and contributes business and technical assistance to portfolio companies.
Ajit is an MBA graduate from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and is a Kauffman Fellow, Class 17. Prior to business school, Ajit worked for eight years in engineering/operations roles in semiconductors and cleantech and recently had stints in internal corporate venturing, angel investing and technology investment banking.
Immediately prior to joining Opus Capital, Ajit consulted with a startup in the cellular cloud access and network services space to help develop its go-to-market strategy in preparation for venture fundraising.
Ajit has a broad-based interest in the technology sector and is especially excited about new investment avenues being created by rapid strides in device connectivity, data computation, and storage.
In addition to his MBA, Ajit holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from IIT Bombay and Stanford University, respectively.
Ajit is an avid long-distance runner, having completed three marathons and four 199-mile-12-person relay runs. He has been involved in fundraising for literacy initiatives in rural India. He also enjoys playing badminton, dabbling with the piano, and believing in a bright future for the Golden State Warriors
