Peter Smoczynski is a journalist and documentary filmmaker. He’s coming to Victoria to preview, and ask for your support for, his important new film on the worst electoral fraud in Canadian history. Peter will show selected clips from his work-in-progress for discussion purposes.
ELECTION DAY IN CANADA examines the dramatic rise of voter suppression in Canada during the 2011 Federal Election, the aftermath to the present day Fair Elections Act.

The presentation will be webcast on the OPEN CINEMA website and at the Mary Winspear Centre, Sidney BC.
Following Peter's presentation, there will be a live and online discussion about #ElectionFraud. Speakers will include Briony Penn, SFU Professor Anke Kessler, Micheal Vonn (BC Civil Liberties Assocation), Andrew McLeod (journalist). Moderated by Sebastian Silva.
