Make the Most out of Your AFES Fieldtrip Experience

 The Effective Fieldtrip Workshop is designed  to help you make the most out of your cultural visit. We'll share Top Ten tips for a successful fieldtrip, including tips on fieldtrip preparation, what to expect during your trip, and ideas for post-trip assessments.

 

Also review a copy of our Effective Fieldtrips Guide, developed to help you effectively link your trip to the standards you are required to meet in your classroom as well as action steps to take to ensure the logistics for the day of the event run smoothly.

 

We will also review and discuss the University of Arkansas fieldtrip study regarding the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art that was realeased in Education Next.  More information HERE.

The DC Collaborative promotes quality arts and humanities education for all DC public and chartered public schools for the growth of the whole child. To accomplish this citywide effort, the DC Collaborative draws on the resources of more than 70 arts and humanities cultural organizations that compose our membership. Working with our partners, the DC Collaborative provides exemplary programming including: Arts for Every Student, Professional Developement Initiatives and the Arts Education Initiative.
