The DC Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation (CYITC) on behalf of DYRS is seeking bids for consulting contracts from organizations with proven capacity to support DYRS and other court-involved youth in experiential learning and workforce development opportunities that will result in educational gains, employment, occupational skills training programs, successful workforce preparation, post-secondary placement and military enlistment.This request for qualifications consists of five program models:  1) Youth Placement; 2) Occupational Skills Training (OST) Plus; 3) Site-Based Internships; 4) Reading & Math Boot camp; 5) Driver’s Education.  Contractors may submit applications for no more than two of the models described in this announcement.  Youth may NOT be enrolled in more than one program at a time without authorization from DYRS.  If you are interested in applying for this contract opportunity, please see the RFQ Contractor Opportunity on our website for eligibility guidelines.

The DC Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation is the primary resource for developing partnerships that expand and improve services and opportunities for children and youth in the District of Columbia, especially during their time out of school. The partnerships include public schools, city agencies, and employers, including non-profit providers. Since its inception in 1999, the Trust has provided grants, technical assistance, youth worker training, capacity building, learning opportunities, convenings, and policy support in the District.
