Capstone Partners Education Event

 "The Changing Face of Education"

Thursday May 6 th   5-8pm

Microsoft, One Memorial Drive, 11th floor, Cambridge, MA

Capstone Partners and Microsoft are organizing an event to discuss the education landscape from K-12 to Post-Secondary and how technology will change the experience in the future.  We will discuss challenges schools face in competing with online programs, business models that are emerging to improve education (not just test scores), and technologies that disrupt the status quo.  Topics will include:

student retention lecture capture
cloud computing & info security tools & apps: wikis/ phones/tablets
online proctoring open-source textbooks
learning management systems of the future distance learning across borders

 

Schedule

Registration: 5:00pm- 5:30

Panel Discussion:  5:30- 6:30

   Includes: Doug Winneg CEO of Software Secure,  Craig Powell CEO of ConnectEDU,  Steve Henn CEO of StudyRails, John Gallaugher Professor at Boston College Carroll School of Management, Seamus Harreys from Northeastern University and moderated by Mike Grandinetti of Southboro Capital

Presentations:  6:30-7:00

Steve Sears from PBS/ NOVA and Lightning Round:  Yori Gabay CEO of InstallFree, Terry Anderton, CEO of Trunity, Alex Grodd CEO of Better Lesson, & Jon Bower President                              of it's learning, Dan Lammot of RoundCorner, and Rachel Shiff of Microsoft will demo Kodu

Open Discussion and Networking: 7:00-8:00
