Edible Gardening: Growing a Salad Table
Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EST)
The Salad Table:
Edible Gardening Without a Garden!
You don't need a garden to grow your own food! Come join us to learn how you can grow your own fresh herbs and greens, how to harvest and prepare, and how to then use your herbs in everyday cooking to save you money and live healthier!
Each participant will leave the class with their very own "Salad Table", assorted herbs, lettuce seeds, and a confidence to start growing.
As part of the class, participants will:
- Learn about cooking and health- the benefits of using fresh herbs in your diet, money savings, how to safely harvest and store your herbs, and how to cook with herbs.
- Construct their own table- tools will be provided and participants will assemble their own table to take home.
- Understand how to grow and cultivate in their salad table- covering topics including planting, where to put your table, watering, and pruning.
Please note that we have two sizes of tables available with separate tickets for each. The full size table is 58" in length while the "mini" is 30". We understand transportation can be difficult and want to make this accessible to all.
This class is limited to 16 people, however, if you are interested in later classes please sign up on our waitlist.
