Thanks for your interest in this screening! This event is AT CAPACITY and we are no longer accepting RSVPs. But good news: we're screening SHAUN OF THE DEAD, HOT FUZZ and THE WORLD'S END in August, so you can still catch them at the Alamo.
The Alamo Drafthouse and Ain't It Cool News present the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy with Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost live in person!
To celebrate the opening of our new Lakeline theater, we're gonna party til the world ends... literally.
Join us for a special free screening of Edgar Wright's "Blood and Ice Cream" trilogy, featuring an advanced showing of the final installment, THE WORLD'S END, and a special Q&A with Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost live in person! If you can handle even more awesomeness, we'll also be offering food and beer specials themed to the films.
To attend this event, RSVP using Eventbrite. You may RSVP for up to 2 tickets. This RSVP DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENTRY and seating is limited to theater capacity on a first come, first served basis while supplies last, so it is crucial to arrive early on the day of the event.
We will start releasing tickets at 10:00am on the day of the show. You must have an RSVP confirmation to pick up a ticket. You are eligible to pick up the number of tickets you have RSVPed for. Once you have a ticket, please plan on being at the theater by 2:00pm, when we will begin seating. If you are not in your seat by 2:50pm, we will give your seat away.
Once all movie tickets are distributed, we will give out a small number of standby tickets to people with RSVP confirmations. Standby tickets only get you in the theater if there are empty seats after the initial round of seating.
It all started with SHAUN OF THE DEAD, a hilarious parody of zombie films starring Simon Pegg as the Man Least Likely to Be a Badass. After most of his friends and neighbors turn into brain-eating monsters, Shaun (Pegg) fights for survival with his housemate Ed (Nick Frost), all while attempting to reunite with his ex-girlfriend, Liz (Kate Ashfield).
The brilliance continues with HOT FUZZ, a fantastically funny buddy cop satire which follows a straight-laced officer (Pegg) forced to work in a crime-free village alongside his bumbling partner (Frost). When a string of brutal murders occurs, the duo relies on inspiration from Hollywood blockbusters to turn into the ultimate pair of tough guys.
The trilogy comes to an epic conclusion with THE WORLD'S END, in which a group of chilldhood chums reunites to complete the pub crawl they started twenty years earlier. Their lives, along with their friendships, have changed dramatically since their teenage days, but their differences cease to matter when they're presented with the challenge of not only drinking their way through twelve pubs but of saving the entire planet. Filled with the uproarious humor and madcap adventures we've come to expect from Wright,THE WORLD'S END insures that this trilogy will go out with a bang.
THE WORLD'S END opens in theatres everywhere August 23rd.
