Below is a brief summary of Edgar's outstanding accomplishments:
Edgar Montenegro joined Strategies for Wealth in 2011 to enhance an already successful career in financial services. An award winning associate in his first year, Edgar made a transition and became a member of the management team in 2012.
Edgar’s well rounded knowledge of financial services and relationships with his clients have been enhanced by his diverse background. Edgar has always maintained a keen interest in the world of finance. Having graduated from Fordham University in 1994 with a degree in Finance, an M.B.A from University of Phoenix and currently pursuing the highly regarded CFP designation from The American College, Edgar serves as a valuable resource to his clients and colleagues.
Edgar’s derives his greatest satisfaction from his firm belief of “serving others before self”. He dedicates time and energy to his community through the Locust Valley Rotary. He is a volunteer fireman at the Locust Valley Fire Department and is a member of a committee of Communilife and Life Is Precious in New York City.
Born in the boroughs of New York City, Edgar resides in Locust Valley with his soon to be wife, Nicole and their four children. Edgar is actively involved in their sport activities as well as his own. Occasionally, you will find Edgar taking on challenging endeavors to raise money for charity. Edgar and Nicole recently completed their first half-marathon in January 2013 and raised money for Autism Speaks and the A-T Children’s Project.

Long Island's Champions for Familes benefits RotaCare!
RotaCare: Free Health Care for People in Need
Founded in 1992 by members of the Mineola‐Garden City Rotary Club, RotaCare was created to serve the needs of the uninsured on Long Island. It began when a group of concerned volunteers met at the Mary Brennan Interfaith Nutrition Network in Hempstead. Many of these volunteers recognized that in addition to food, the medical needs of their clients were not met adequately by the healthcare system. Through the collaborative efforts of the Rotary Club, local healthcare professionals, area residents, and Mercy Hospital, a “MASH” team was formed to operate weekly at the soup kitchen. RotaCare was born. Since its inception, RotaCare has remained a Rotary District project and supported by concerned companies, organizations and individuals to sustain its good works and benefits to the community by providing free health care to people in need. In 2007, RotaCare expanded its scope again, and moved to larger quarters at the A. Holly Patterson Extended Family Care Facility in Uniondale.
