EdcampIndy is a FREE learning opportunity for educators of all types. Though it is sponsored by the Association of Indiana School Library Educators (AISLE), the content is created by attendees and will include education and technology. You come to Edcamp with questions--and you get answers--by fellow educators. Professional Growth Points are available for four sessions--and there is a fun Smackdown at the end which is rapid-fire tips, tricks, and tools for educators. Edcamp is unique as the presenters are the attendees. Bring and share your knowledge and take away from others.
Registration starts at 8:30; the event releases for lunch at 11; and the day is over by 3 o'clock. Bring your own caffeine, snacks, and a device if you have one. There will be computer access on site as well presentation equipment.
When & Where
AISLE EdCamp chairperson Leslie Sutherlin
AISLE (Association of Indiana School Library Educators) is a professional organization supporting school librarians in Indiana. Our organization is responsible for the Young Hoosier Book Award, Eliot Rosewater Book Award, and the Read-Alouds-Too-Good-Too-Miss Awards. We are an association of the Indiana Library Federation and also members of AASL and ISTE. Members have access to an awesome listserv that solves day-to-day problems (as well as world ones), and allows networking that would never happen for most of us who are on islands in our large corporations. Go to ilfonline.org to join.
