The limitations of physical hardware were unlocked when the computing world virtualized. Now hardware has vaporized into the atmosphere and formed the cloud. What opportunities does the cloud hold for your business? How do you move into the cloud? Moreover, why do it? Does it really improve ROI and profitability? Explore these issues and more at the eCoast Cloud Summit presented by TechWorld on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The day-long event encompasses two informational tracks: Business & Infrastructure and Software Development. Business & Infrastructure focuses on moving your company’s technology infrastructure into the cloud. The Software Development track explores application development, pricing, and configuration for the cloud environment. Summit topics will help you understand the cloud and leverage it properly to save money and increase profits. See schedule below.
Track 1: Business & Infrastructure
Businesses are increasingly moving to cloud services to address portions of their technology needs, such as cloud-based e-mail, CRM, or data storage solutions. Whether employing the security of a private cloud or utilizing the cost-effective public cloud, their reasons for doing it are the same— to save money and increase efficiencies. This track explores the benefits cloud services brings your business and strategies and best practices for employing cloud solutions.
Track 2: Software Development
Large onsite software installations are quickly diminishing as software is increasingly delivered through the cloud and “rented” for small, but ultimately more profitable, monthly fees. Businesses are moving those large, upfront capital expenses into their operating budget. Track two examines software development for the cloud from both a technical and marketing standpoint. Learn how to develop and compete in the dynamic cloud environment.
