WHAT IS AN INTENSIVE CE SERIES?

The Intensive CE Series is a blended learning model that combines weekly online CE course readings, weekly live webinar presentations, and an online forum for information exchange and networking with peers. Each series lasts 4 – 7 weeks, and is structured around live, interactive webinars with nationally known clinical experts on specific topic areas from the comfort of your home or office.

92% of participants agreed the overall teaching method/format was effective in their learning experience.

90% of participants agreed that the information delivered added to their knowledge and will cause them to change their professional practice.

The Intensive CE Series provides a "virtual classroom" environment for in-depth study of key topics.

ECG INTENSIVE CE SERIES

ECG monitoring is a standard of care within clinics, ambulatory care, acute, and critical care settings. The challenge is finding a cost-effective method to become proficient in this important skill. This education series will review ECG basis and dive into dysrhythmia recognition and intervention. This four-week self-paced program combines online education, interactive imPULSE ECG programs from Apex Innovations, and live webinars to provide you with a study choice that will fit your learning needs and schedule. This series will review cardiac anatomy and physiology, teach the basic principles of ECG interpretation, and allow you to view and understand cardiac landmarks using interactive ImPULSE programs from APEX Innovations. Complete the online examination and earn 20.5 contact hours and a certificate of completion.

ONLINE MODULES*:

*Cardiac Anatomy and Physiology Review: Review vital informaiton on cardiac anatomy and physiology, including depolarization, repolarization and the conduction system.

*ECG Basics and Sinus Rhythms; Case Studies I: Read these learning modules and learn the basic principles of ECG intrepratation including electrical pathways and normal rhytem analysis. Case studies included.

*Atrial, Junctional, and Ventricular Rhythm; Heart Block Basics; Case Studies II, III, and IV:  Learn how to intrepret and distuingsh between atrial, junctional, ventricular rhythms as well as basic heart blocks. Case studies included.

*LEVEL I imPULSE 2.0™ - Anatomy and Physiology
: This educational experience presents anatomical structures of the heart with interactive 3D graphics, and clear easy to understand supporting information. Learn cardiac physiology, including the cardiac cycle, circulation, conduction and intrinsic pacemakers. In addition, build a waveform and experience intelligent interactivity® throughout the course to explore and learn more.

Nurse.com - Intensive CE Series

The Intensive CE Series combines live webinars with independent web-based study, creating a “virtual classroom” environment.  Tackling complex initiatives, we break them into key topics, and bring nationally known experts right into the attendee’s home, office or facility.

Learners go through a multiple week engagement with the same small group of peers, so they can share practices and questions together in an interactive “two-way” webinar experience from wherever they live or work. Between webinars, learners complete independent online study modules to reinforce and apply their new learning and prepare for the next session.
