ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: In the first hour of this very special workshop, you will learn cutting-edge strategies for eating to enhance your energy, pleasure, and health. For “dessert” you will be served a delicious Nia routine designed to celebrate pleasure and seal these concepts into your cells. (No prior Nia experience needed!)

SUSAN TATE, M.A., a respected health educator for over forty years, is passionate about inspiring and creating individual, community, and global wellness. She is an author, international speaker, black belt Nia instructor, fitness, and nutrition expert, and Team Northrup leader. In 2000, she moved to Seattle and founded Washington Wellness Associates. Prior to this time, Susan served as the Director of Health Promotion and assistant professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia. She was also a consultant with the American College Health Association, in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control, providing education training for college health professionals across the United States.
A certified black belt Nia instructor, Susan completed her training with Nia Technique co-creators Debbie Rosas and Carlos AyaRosas and has been teaching Nia for over 14 years. She teaches internationally and delights in being a dancing grandmother!
Susan is the author of several books including ~ Wellness Wisdom: 31 Ways to Nourish Your Mind, Body, & Spirit (2nd edition 2011) and Into the Mouths of Babes: A whole foods nutrition guide to feeding your infants and toddlers (3rd edition, Summer 2013).
