START: This year there will be two starting points -
For NJ residents: Meet at the Hoboken14th St. Ferry at 8:45AM to get the 9:02 ferry to NY (note, maximum of 10 bikes per ferry, next ferry is at 9:22AM).
For NY residents: Meet at Bike and Roll at Pier 84 @ 43rd St. and 12th Ave in Manhattan at 9:00AM. We will leave from Pier 84 at 9:30AM.
END: Hoboken, NJ or Manhattan, NY
Join us for a 20-mile loop bicycle ride from Pier 84 in Manhattan along the Hudson River Greenway north to and across the George Washington Bridge into NJ and then south along the Hudson River Greenway's NJ sections down to Hoboken. Those needing to return to Manahttan may do so by Ferry*, PATH train*, or by cycling back over the GW Bridge. The ride will be at a very easy pace of between 8 and 10 MPH. This will be our 7th annual Hudson Loop ride. It is very popular and with good reason, its a beautiful and fun ride!
Parking is available on the street as well as in parking garages in Hoboken at the beginning of the ride.
* Each rider is responsible for the cost of their transportation back to Manhattan.
We usually ride rain or shine but if the weather is particularly unpleasant, you will receive a cancellation email at 7:00AM on the day of the ride.
RIDE LEADERS: Scott Baker, Anthony Savarese, Mike Dannemiller and Mike Kruimer, volunteers for the East Coast Greenway Alliance. For more information, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
This ride will be co-sponsored by NJ Committee for the East Coast Greenway.
