East Coast Greenway Philadelphia to Bristol Delaware River PA-NJ Loop

Come explore the East Coast Greenway fromPhiladelphiatoBristol, visiting Historic Bristol Day . You’ll then have the option to ride back toPhiladelphiaon theNew Jerseyside of theDelaware, exploring the Delaware River Heritage Trail betweenBurlingtonandCamden. We will be crossing two bridges. The Burlington Bridge Commission will allow us to ride across theBurlingtonBristolBridge! Then in Camden we will cross the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride across the Burlington Bristol bridge which is normally closed to bicycle traffic. We will have a our single group of riders escorted by the police across the bridge.
On the way north we will be exploring the new and ever changing North Delaware Riverfront Greenway development that will connectCenterCitytoBucksCounty. There are options to use public transit returning south including hourly Septa trains on thePennsylvaniaside of the River, and the half-hourly NJT Riverline trains on theNew Jerseyside.
This is a self-supported ride starting at the Fairmount Waterworks on Saturday October 19th @ 9:00 at the Waterworks just behind the Philadlephia Art Museum.
Assume that the ride will take the majority of the day and that it will be approximately 55 miles in length round trip.
