The future is here!

Join us at Cross Campus in Santa Monica on the eve of E3 to discuss HTML5 Games and a new HTMLFormElement API.

Making HTML5 games work.

Ludei enables developers to quickly and easily create, accelerate and publish HTML5-based apps and games. Ludei’s cloud-based HTML5 platform powers 400 iOS and Android game titles. The company’s own popular mobile games including iBasket, Sumon and Slide Soccer have been downloaded more than 20 million times worldwide. Ludei is based in San Francisco.

Iker Jamardo, VP of Engineering is a passionate software engineer whose main interests include real time graphics and software architecture and design. Since his first steps in professional software development back in 2000, he has been involved in the video game industry where he worked for a couple of years developing a AAA PC game. Then he moved to the research and lecturing field for over 10 years at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain, where he developed multiple projects in multimedia, virtual and augmented reality and accessibility technologies, working closely with companies in the area. Wanting to go back to the video game industry, he joined Ludei to help with the design and development of the core native multi platform technology of the Cocoon engine, a Service Oriented Architecture that includes CocoonJS, a customized JavaScript virtual machine specifically tuned for native HTML5 game execution and monetization.

Not even needing to see a form.

Chrome’s requestAutocomplete() Standardizing Payments on the Web

Ever try buying something on the mobile web? Combine a mess of form fields and a soft keyboard and it's more frustrating than it needs to be. How many customers don’t buy things from you because doing so is just too much work? requestAutocomplete() is an aspiring web standard that will allow users to bypass pages of form fields with an imperative API for requesting details the browser knows. In this session we'll highlight how to enhance your site with requestAutocomplete(), how to quickly implement the feature, and what to consider when optimizing the UX of your ecommerce experience.

Dan Beam hacks on Chrome's UI. He helped make the New Tab page, the über cool settings page, and the little zoom bubble in your address bar (and other things that would likely bore you to tears). He currently works on making payments on the web awesome. His natural habitat is Southern California and he's most comfortable at electronica concerts, sampling craft beers, eating leafy things, or rolling downhill on a bicycle.

Evan Stade has been working on Chrome UI since just after its public launch in September, 2008. Greatest hits include the GTK port, tabbed spings, and New Tab Page.

Ingar shu is a full stack ruby/javascript developer at Carbon Five San Francisco, but before web development, I was in the games industry for over a decade.

Ingar will look at a multi-player JS game (tiny experiment) Main stack is node.js, socket.io, and canvas. Demo, a few slides, and Q&A.
