The Institute for the Emergence of 21st Century Literacies (IE21CL)  invites you to E-Merge: A Learning X-Change of New Approaches to Literacy and Learning. This program is designed to bring together students, literacy practitioners, community leaders, and policy makers to share ideas and raise issues involved in emerging 21st century literacies and  their impact on teaching and learning. Come #jointheconversation about what it means to be literate in the 21st century and hear from some amazing speakers and presenters around topics of multilingualism, multimodal literacies, digital literacies, and community engagement.

The Institute for the Emergence of 21st Century Literacies is a graduate student organization at the City College of New York working to develop experts & visionaries who will shape the future of 21st century literacies through leadership, inquiry, and service. Founded in the Fall of 2013, the Institute works in partnership with the M.A. in Language and Literacy Program at CCNY to promote the intellectual, social, and professional development of students by offering programs and events which support scholarly dialogue, community engagement, and multimedia education.
