Topic: How to Maximise Matchday Experience
Digital Sport Social is back for 2011 and we're kicking it off with a new venue, new topic and new speakers.
Sport is a great way of attracting massive amounts of people to the one
place at the one time, but once they're there, how can you then reward
your fans for turning up?
Taking advantage of the matchday experience is a great way for sports teams and organisations to stay connected with their fans on match day, and that is the next topic in our Digital Sport Social series
first guest is Digital Marketing Manager from Cricket Victoria, Anthony
Harrison. Recently Cricket Victoria attempted to get Australia's first
ever 'Super Swarm', an event where 250 people check into one place at
one time using the location-based service, FourSquare.
They encouraged people to check in to FourSquare during their Twenty20 Big Bash match and aimed to break the Australian record...did they succeed?
Our other guest will be Charlotte James, who you may have heard on SEN Radio, or read one of her tweets coming from @AustralianOpen. Charlotte is a social media consultant who hits aces in the tennis industry around the world, having also being contracted by the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
Charlotte will let us in on how Tennis Australia interacts with over half a million visitors over the two week period and the obstacles they have had to overcome along the way.
Our guests will be chatting with our MC, Ed Wyatt
Feel free to hang around after the event for the bar tab, grab some food and to network.
