Photography Like You Have Never Seen It Before

As host of the Discovery Channel series “Time Warp,” Jeff Lieberman used high-speed, state-of-the-art photography to show viewers wonders their unaided eyes could never see.  Visuals of common and unusual occurrences – ranging from a cat licking its paw to world-class skateboarding tricks and dropping a full-sized car on an egg from a height of 50 feet – became things of both beauty and learning.

The Da Vinci Science Center and Air Products will present a one-time-only public program with Jeff Lieberman at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pa. Lieberman’s Science Works 2012 Feature Presentation will be held on Saturday, May 5, from 3-4:30 p.m. highlighting the Da Vinci Science Center’s two-day celebration of the connections between science and the arts.

All ticket price proceeds benefit the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, Pa., an independent nonprofit organization that brings science to life and lives to futures and careers in science.

Along with his photography work, the 34-year-old Lieberman also will share portions of his breathtaking work as a sculptor, musician, and roboticist who holds four degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). One of Lieberman’s most well-known works is an interactive music-making sculpture titled Absolut Quartet. Lieberman’s skills as a piano player and electronic musician have earned him opportunities to perform at Carnegie Hall, New York, N.Y., and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

The Da Vinci Science Center’s sixth annual celebration of informal science, Science Works 2012 will be a two-day showcase of mystery, mastery, and science’s synergies with the arts.
