Let’s face it: Making lasting and substantial changes in one’s personal or professional life is hard. While there are many techniques for making changes and much has been written about this topic, how people change, when they change, and why they don’t change remains something of a mystery.
A Breakthrough in Overcoming Resistance to Change
A few years ago, I discovered a protocol for change-making which I believe is not only skilful, it is profound! Harvard Educational Psychologists Dr. Robert Kegan and Dr. Lisa Lahey developed a process for understanding why it is difficult to make changes in one’s life. They call this process ‘Immunity to change’. I travelled to Harvard, Massachusetts and took the training.
The Immunity to Change process
It involves naming our desired change and identifying, without blame or judgment, the obstacles we place in our path. The process reveals the assumptions we make and what is involved in overcoming these assumptions. Backed by verifiable research, this breakthrough programme has the ability to create changes in our personal and professional lives that were previously unimaginable.
My Experience Delivering Immunity to Change
I have delivered the Immunity to Change process in Brazil, in Switzerland, in France, in Great Britain as well as in numerous locations throughout the United States. The process crosses cultural conditions, hierarchical restrictions, and gender differences.

About Leni Wildflower
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Leni Wildflower has a Masters degree from the University of Hawaii in Public Health, and a Doctorate from Fielding Graduate University in Human and Organizational Development. She is qualified, by the International Coach Federation, as a Professional Certified Coach, and is certified in Change Management (William Bridges and Associates), Immunity to Change (Dr. Robert Kegan, Dr. Lisa Lahey, Harvard University), MBTI and Motivational Interviewing.
