5-Week Beginner Voice-Over Class with Jason Sasportas (Stewart Talent)

NOTE: This is a drop-in spot for our ongoing, 4-week VO class.
A multi-week beginner VO class geared toward the VO stars of tomorrow: YOU! Taught by casting director Allison Franck (Liz Lewis Casting), this class will give you everything you need to know about getting started in the exciting world of voice-over acting, from audition technique to animation, commercials, and PSA's. You'll be studying in Ripley-Grier's professional voice-over studio, where we hold castings for national-brand commercials, films, and animations every day. Performers will be provided with recordings of all their "on mic" work, free of charge. Class meets from 11am-12:30pm.
The class is limited to 8 young actors, ages 8 to 17.
About the instructor:
Alison Franck Has been working at Liz Lewis Casting Partners for over two years. Alison casts for commercials, voice-overs, film, TV as well as musicals.Her current projects include: National Tours of Hello Dolly starring Sally Struthers, Dr. Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Man of La Mancha, the Off-Broadway play It's Just Sex plus tons of commercials, voice-overs and several films. Recent projects include: tons of commercials and voice-overs, National tours of Hair, Dreamgirls, Guys and Dolls, My Fair Lady, Ain't Misbehavin' starring Ruben Studdard and Frenchie Davis, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Gloryana at The Public (reading and workshop), the TV series Peter Rabbit and A Moment in Time, the new John Denver songbook musical
Alison was the Resident Casting Director for Paper Mill Playhouse for 10 years, where she cast over 50 productions, including the Broadway transfer of I'm Not Rappaport, starring Judd Hirsch and Ben Vereen, directed by Daniel Sullivan. Regional: Pirates! (Goodspeed/Paper Mill), Hairspray, and Les Misérables (North Shore) and 2007's mini-tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (TUTS/Paper Mill Playhouse/North Shore/TOTS)
