Drinks and Data - San Francisco
Monday, June 18, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, CA
We're finally back in the city.
In April, we held a Big Data Drinkup at Lilly Mac's in Sunnyvale. The room was packed. You can see a review of the event at TapThe90. We been wanting to host one in the city, but our favorite venue, 111 Minna Gallery, has been booked solid. Finally, we got a free night.
If you're a data geek, come join us.
Whether you're into Hadoop, Cassandra, Search, Analytics, Data Mining, Visualization, Stats, Graphs, etc, please come join us. We'll be blocking recruiters at the door, so you can come in and enjoy drinks without someone asking every five minutes: "Do you know the Hadoop? Do you have a card?" Seriously, this party is for data geeks.
Win a complete set of StrataConf Santa Clara 2012 Videos / or a ticket to Strata NY and Hadoop World.
We'll be raffling off the tickets to the upcoming Strata NY and Hadoop World -- courtesy of our friends at O'Reilly. Strata is the premiere global conference for data. Several of the folks from O'Reilly will be in attendence. This is a great opportunity to hear about some of the things that they have coming up.
Thanks to our generous sponsors:
Objectivity, makers of InfiniteGraph DB. As far as I know, Infinite Graph is the only graph database that is both distributed and truly scalable. Several of Objectivity's engineers will be on hand, so bring your questions. I'll try not to monopolize their time asking questions about the Coloring Algorithm.
Viglink has a variety of tools to help publishers monetize their content. Christian Romming and several of the other Viglink engineers will be in attendence. These guys are doing some really cool stuff with data -- and they're hiring.
Hope to see you there!
