Event Details

Join us for a flavorful and educational workshop with master chocolatier Brian Wallace as he guides our taste buds through all things chocolate. We'll start things off with an explanation of the ethnobotanical roots of this amazing treat, from the neurophysiology of sensory experience, to the underpinnings of chocolate's widely touted health benefits, and beyond. The foundation of this workshop will be in exploring tips and tricks to make the perfect drinking chocolate, including a tour of the culinary and medicinal spices used by the ancient Mayans and Aztecs, all the way up to hot cocoa as we know and love it today. We will be making and tasting hot cocoa!
